Dear Sirs:

Enclosed is a photo of my brother Tim's and mine two TNT's. My brother's was built in 1976, when he was 15. Little did we know it was only the first of many Glen-L boats we were to become involved with. In 6 years, when I was 15, I built my TNT. I thought no other small boat was on par with the TNT. Several years later, a friend of Tim's built a TNT, and just recently his brother also built a TNT. To finish this tale of boat-building-brothers, two friends of ours, John and Anthony, decided to build a larger version, the STILETTO.

All of us are happy with each of our boats, and proud we "built them ourselves". Nothing can teach you about boats like building one will. My boat has some features and ideas we learned from building the first. We sacrificed low weight for strength, and used oak framing throughout. However, I feel very confident with my larger outboard...We have both experimented with various engines. At age 16, an old 16 hp Scott-Attwater was adequate. I now run an old Mark 58 45 hp Merc., which is really great as the weight of the passengers and driver has increased significantly! ...Both boats have held up amazingly well over the years, with only the normal wooden boat maintenance. Both have travelled many times on car/van rooftop to Rice Lake, Canada where several other TNT's were built as a result!

We would both like to thank Glen-L for making boating an affordable experience to us as young people. We learned so much. Our boats get as many comments out of the water as they do in it...

Sincerely,
Luke & Tim Mattocks
