Picklefork Bill of Materials

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MATERIAL UNTIL YOU READ THIS SECTION.
The following is the listing for all of the materials required for building the PICKLEFORK. Sitka Spruce is advocated for most wood working as it is extremely light in weight and yet very strong. Lumber in all cases is listed as actual thickness after milling. All widths are net, while all lengths allow cutting to fit. A considerable savings will result if the lumber is grouped and ripped to the proper widths from random stock. All plywood must be of an exterior grade. In most cases, an exterior grade with AB faces is specified. If the boat is to be used with the more powerful motors, or for rough useage, it is suggested that full solid core marine panels be used. Fir plywood is satisfactory in all cases, though for decking some may prefer to use mahogany or some other hardwood veneer faced panels. The Key# corresponds with the patterns.
CHECK ALL SIZES TO THE WORK PRIOR TO CUTTING. Abbreviations used are: Mahog = mahogany; SP = spruce; DF = Douglas-fir; PW=plywood; Ext=exterior; MAR=marine.
