Dear Sirs: I built a Glen L 17; I used your spar kit and sails; now I would like a genoa sail...I am sending a picture of my boat. Just a few lines to tell you I knew nothing about wood work at all. All my friends laughed at me when I started to build my boat, when I finished, no one laughed anymore. Most of the home built boats I saw were ruined by hand painting the whole boat. So, I decided to veneer and varnish the top deck, and fiberglass the hull. I have sailed from Philadelphia to the Chesapeake Bay in 20 mph winds and rough water. It sailed like a dream...Everywhere I go my boat seems to be a hit, more people look at my boat than some of the big glass boats. I am often asked where I purchased her at. That makes me feel 10 feet tall. The cockpit is out of this world, it is more roomy than some 25 footers. I could go on all day, but I won't bother you anymore. Yours truly, |
