Glen-L 21CB sailboat plans

Dear Sir:
Some years ago I purchased the plans for the Glen-L 21CB. I started construction in Victoria, BC, Canada, and completed a slightly modified cruising version in 1990. After sailing around the waters of the gulf islands near Victoria, I shipped the boat via container, on a trailer I made from your plans also, to Rotterdam where we then motored down the canals and rivers of Holland, Belgium and France to the Med. From there we sailed to Corsica, Sardinia and on to Tunisia, where we wintered last year in Monastir.

This year we continued from Tunisia to Pantelleria, Sicily (so, coast); Italy and on to Corfu, Greece. We are now wintering around the island of Lefkas, Greece. The enclosed photo is near Lefkas, under a light wind using a Hood drifter.

Fully loaded for 2 cruising, it sits about 2" below the DWL. On our way to Corsica, we ran with a force 8-9 mistral and another at the south end of Corsica with no problems. Nearing the south end of Corsica, we were broached with no problem other than water in a portlight that was left open. On the way to Bizerte, Tunisia we crashed into force 6-8 headwinds. All this the boat took in stride. A very stable little boat. We only took green water breaking wave on deck once of Mt. Etna, Sicily, with no problems other than getting wet.

I want to thank you for a very good design. With the mods I made, it is a very good little mini-cruiser. I might add that under non-storm conditions she sails finely also.
