Glen-L 11 Bill of Materials

The following list of materials gives an approximate listing for the lumber required for the construction of the GLEN-L 11. The strip planking and similar type materials can only be approximated as noted in the instructions. By judicious cutting, the sheer and keel can also be ripped from clear areas in the planking stock. Before ordering any material, check to the instructions for the numerous options and suggestions for use of materials. All solid lumber listed as pine can be standard knotty pine shelving lumber, either Ponderosa or Sugar Pine. Spruce refers to the Sitka vertical grain variety. All lumber listed as 1" is standard four quarters lumberyard stock that will usually finish 3/4" to 13/16" in thickness. All lengths allow for cutting to size. All widths except 12" stock are net. All plywood (PW) to remain in the hull structure must be an exterior grade. Douglas-fir (DF) of AB grade is satisfactory in all cases. Forms that are not a part of the hull may be of any grade of plywood.
