AudeenThis Audeen was built over a period of 2-3 years by Darroll McLaughlin starting in Orangevale, CA. and being completed in Fremont, CA. with a move in between to Auburn, CA. The Audeen was powered with an Oldsmobile V-8 engine and prop driven. Deck is Mahogany with grooves routed in to resemble planking and then hand painted. The enclosed B/W photo was taken during the summer of 1961 at the Fremont Drag Strip where the Audeen was first launched and tested. The young boy in the photo holding the boat is Michael McLaughlin, Darroll's oldest son. |
