Sea Knight by Bill White, Edgefield, South Carolina

16 September 2009 (Cont'd)

The hardware and docking lights have been salvaged from 50's era boats, a little polishing of hardware, and stripping and powder coating of the lights made it all look new.

The Sea Knight Emblem was milled on a C.N.C. machine from ½" aluminum plate.

Time to sew up the cushions and helm seat. The foam used was a 5" high density foam mattress, confiscated from our guest room.

Cushions done and worth the sacrifice.

Light weight folding helm seat built utilizing parts from the scrap pile.

Hooking up wiring, cables, and my home made hydraulic steering to a 46 year old 55 H.P. 4 stroke motor.

August 2009 and our maiden voyage.

The boat has exceeded my performance expectations.

The past 16 months have been a real pleasure! Thank you Glen L.

24 March 2010 Update

I installed a bow rail from a 60's boat that I think
really enhances the look of the boat.

Thanks again!
