Bullet by Matt Heaney19 March 2009 Update
Sprayed with high build undercoat, ready to sand before topcoat.
Top coat done. Deck done in metallic auto paint with clear coat over top and hull in white marine paint.
Launch day with Auckland icon Rangitoto island in the background.
Launch day.
Back from launch day run. Water was a bit choppy and we got really wet.
Anchored at a beach.
Coming back from Waiheke island I have added temporary chine battens to stop it from being so wet; they work really well so I will put permanent ones on in the winter. This particular day there was at least a 1m swell. I had my dad's boat breaking the waves in front of me; my bullet managed it for about 20 minutes at about 5 knots, only taking one big wave over the bow.
Mercury - number 1 on the water.
Racing at about 35 mph. I have a foot accelerator in this; I would not have it any other way.
Inside pics: seats fold forward and backward. I have removable floor with anchor storage underneath and vinyl covered pockets on the sides. Thanks for the plans! |
