Subject: Matt Krick Hunky Dory update 10-13-02
The boat is now sitting upright and level. I have used four jackstands with 4x4 timbers running between the jackstands with carpet scraps ontop of the 4x4's to protect the bottom paint. The plywood siding has been faired down to the outer sheerclamp. I started using a plainer to do this, but found a 4" grinder to be the tool of choice. I have also finished the motor box, for my transom mounted motor. Took me about 2 full days to finish. I still have to glass the inside of the motor box but that will come later. I am about to start on the fishbox and center console. Right now is the most rewarding time working on this project. Every item you add make the boat look so much better.
