When I first put her into the water, she was a bit unstable, but only to a
certain point. I put some solid ballast in the keel area which solved the
problem.
(Note: With the cabin as designed, there should be no
problem with stability. With the larger cabin and standing headroom, the center
of gravity is raised considerably. brw)
Generally speaking, the boat is ideal for weekends but also suitable for longer periods. In fact, I spent a fortnight on her last year, without any problems, navigating the River Elbe and the adjoining inland waterways in former East Germany. These are beautiful and have been left almost untouched for about 50 years during the communist regime.
