The engine is mounted and I got it fired up. The controls are connected, but still need to get the instruments wired. It's ready to go in the water now though!! I finished up the graphics on the bow. I wanted 3 ellipses on the bow spike, similar to The Jetson's late 50's look. It's carpeted, and all deck hardware is on. I plan on getting the registration numbers tomorrow. I still need to make about 30 feet of 1/4 round mohagany trim to finish up the interior. I will also build a bi-fold door to hide the transom end, with the coolers, battery etc.... Don't know if I'll get that done prior to launching, doubtful. I also want to build to reclining deck type chairs out of mohagany that can be removed from the boat for use on the beach. That is a winter project.

Here's a shot of the interior. I'm really happy with the finish, I had to build up the bases on the windshield brackets as they were cast for a boat with a different deck radius. I got them from Tony Peets in Concord Ca. Check out Boat Builders magazine, classifieds, or E-mail for phone #. They're Chris Craft reproductions. He's a good guy and will work with you if you screw up, like I did.... had to buy another starboard bracket........ Doug Hodder
