I put the boat in the water this weekend and took a photo with the top up. So that there is no confusion, the top gets dismantled and put in a recess behind the rear seat. It does not hinge into a recess. All of the mahogany bows are hinged so that they fold in for storage. As you can see I tried to keep the appearance of the vessel as original as possible. I have never seen a top on this type of boat so I had to use my imagination.
