Building the Zip
It's a great thing when the plan comes together. Irish Rose was launched 9/20/07.
Performance: Unbelievable — It's a blast to drive. Sitting low on the water, the 34mph seems like 50mph. The skeg holds the turns quite nicely. It is not a rough water boat, but I knew that from the start. It does, however, handle a light chop without beating you up. It accelerates and gets on plane very quick. With two aboard, the acceleration was the same and top speed dropped 1mph. At 28mph( Tina's choice of cruise speed) it still seems to be humming. It's everything we had hoped for.
