1. The first step is making the frames (or buying a Frame Kit).
2. After the frames are made, the building form is constructed following the instructions and details in the plans.
3. The frames are located on the building form and blocked in place. The breasthook (triangular shaped piece) is fastened to the stem and the stem to the first frame. This assembly is mounted as a unit, with blocking to bring the breasthook up to the level specified in the plans. Notice the 1" x 4" cross members to which the frames are attached. All framing members should be blocked and braced enough to insure that these members do not move during construction. Extra time spent setting up can save a great deal of work farther on in the construction process.
