Fig 23: All of the mating areas for the side planking must be coated liberally with glue. The builder is using a paint roller to expedite the coating of the area with glue.
Fig 24: The planking is clamped in position. The area that will butt join with the bottom planking is fastened into position first. The panel is then fastened progressively aft per the fastening schedule. Note the panel in the background. This has been roughly cut to shape, using the first panel as a template.
Fig 25: After fastening the initial panel in position, the excess at the stem is planed flush to allow the other side to lap.
