Fig 34: The seat and console structure. Dimensions for the console may need to be varied if the fuel tank is to be put in the console. If you intend to have the seats professionally upholstered, talk to the upholsterer prior to making this structure, in case he has special requirements.
Fig 35: This is the finished cockpit. The console top is off showing a standard fuel tank in place. If the tank is covered, care should be taken to provide adequate venting. Contact the US Coast Guard for a brochure listing current requirements.
