It's not the "cheap" way out, it's the inexpensive way out. It costs way less and works just as well. See Dave Carnell's experiences with it (http://home.att.net/~DaveCarnell)! Plus, the ease of use (and repair) makes it that much more attractive.
Ok, so maybe it won't last QUITE as long, but the cost and labor aspects will still far outweigh the difference.
