I am very new to all of this, just getting started on the tubby tug, so bear with me. I was reading some plans on another site and they talk about fiberglas wood sandwhich const. Basically wood hull glassed inside and out. There claim is that the strength comes from the fiberglas not the wood. Glen-L designs get strength from the wood? I would like someone to explain this claim. By the way it looks to me like Glen-L prices are far cheaper than the other site. I was just comparing the fiberglass kits on 19-20 foot boats and even if I ordered two Glen-l kits (so I could glass the inside too) it would still be cheaper than one of theirs.
