The Cracker Box was never intended for that kind of power, but people have run it with such power. The boat was intended for speeds in the 50-55 mph range, but it is being raced at over 80 mph.
The problem is that short boats can get "squirrely" at high speeds; because so little of the boat remains in the water. This type of power would produce what we would call "racing speeds"... beyond pleasure boating.
Exhaust can be run out the side, but is somewhat noisy.
