I think this is a very good point...and I have used a lot of meranti-wbp exterior ply that has delaminated for no apparent reason...so I would be wary of trusting similar BS1088 stuff.
For solid wood-to-wood glue joints, I wouldn't have any worries about not using fasteners, but I'm not so sure about plywood joints....I may go with fasteners just to be on the safe side ( I don't trust the plywood manufacturers that much!)
If you choose to temporarily fasten your planking until the epoxy cures and then remove the fasteners, you'll be relying entirely upon the glued joint AND the interply glue laminations in the plywood itself.
