Thanks for the info, just to be curious, I will look into the sites you suggest and see what I come up with. I was able to get a good deal on a lightly used 4 stroke Mercury 15 that is set up for remote and electric start so thats what will be doing the pushing..
And as you stated, I can always govern the thing :-)!

In addition, there is a well known equation that is based on a hull factor that changes with respect to a displacment or planing hull, length of boat, horsepower and propeller that will give you a speed calculation, but I can;t remember where I saw it and have not seen it on the web.
