MDO is medium density overlay, both sides have a resinous and papery type overlay, this is what they used for exterior road signs till everything went to metal.HDO is high density overlay, a very dense and hard surface and is what is used on concrete form panels, but now a lot of concrete panels are aluminum.Since I posted the question I have done a lot of research and have found out the good stuff in at least 3/8 isn't readily available, and what is being sold has only one side with mdo and the other side is a c grade ply.It is suppose to be b grade and better,so I will have to drive a 130 miles to get 8 sheets of 3/8 marine. But still would be interested in hearing any feedback on the material.
