There seems to be a few things about boatbuilding that are commonly making people scratch their heads on this web-board.
The 'fairing' process & drilling the angularity of the shaft hole in the boatbottom.
Both of these are covered in the books from Glen-L as well as webletters on this site.
Another good book is 'The Gougeon Brothers on boat construction'.
