A little while ago, I noticed a rich dark brown stain around the genoa track on my yacht. I cleaned it up the best I could. Just thought it was a once-off... maybe birds. Then it came back, so I thought something had 'died' there, just on the cabin side of the track. Then recently, when changing the cap-shround chain-plate bolts in close proximity, I had the chain plate out of its 'slot' in the deck, I noticed the same brown stain, a gooey liquidous stuff, ominously looking like glue from the plywood sandwiched between the glass layers in the deck. Of course, panic set in. Thinking that the deck is delaminating. If it is, is there something I can do say, after removing the track, sucking out/drying out the area, and injecting with sicka or epoxy?
