Am I insane for attempting to make a 16' jonboat into a dual engine airboat? I'm thinking that I'll mount 2 VW engines where the rear seat used to be (I'll take it out) and run them on belts to a propshaft above them. Sound weird? I've got the boat, the engines (I think), and all the tools I'll need, but I still need to find a prop. I'm not looking for anything high-speed, but remember, using the pulleys on the belts, I can reduce RPM to anything I need.
Does anyone have any input? Aaron
