I live on a small very shallow river and have found a wonderful roto-mold boat that I have been able to mount a pwc motor and pump assembly into. Everything checks out and it has been a great fishing boat this summer. My problem is the motor I am currently using is dying (was old and tried) and now that I know this boat is possible, I need to update and upgrade.. :)
Does anyone know where I can locate 2-stroke motors from (say rebuilt or even new)? A few family members have expressed an interest in this and am curious about putting another one together. I would not have a core to turn in so I can't do my own rebuild, would need the whole motor.. anything from a 500cc to a 800cc would be fine. I have looked at the big manufactures and the pricing is out of the ball park, shallow river makes this a low expense deal.. Rocks and Props never mix well... :)
Any information would be great. Regardless... the information in here is tremendous. Thanks for the great reading and I look forward to more in the future. :)
