Be sure to get a 2 part closed cell foam. The stuff in the cans is open cell. Just think of it being a sponge that you cannot wring out.
A few years ago we were doing trade show teardown and I wend to pick up some of our vidoe monitor boxes. They were unusually heavy. It seems the crates had been stored outside for a few days and it had rained. The foam soaked up the water. Note, these were not in standing water, but were still completely saturated.
Just think of the weight increase and rot problems open cell foam can cause.
