Read about a guy that did that in my "Turbo Power" book (HP Books)- the author said it was the only way the guy could keep the engine speed "on the turbo" the whole time. {twin turbo 454 on a 'glass jet "muscle boat", btw} From what the author wrote, it worked quite well & got a lot of doubletakes when the guy would drop the hammer & the boat shifted through 3 gears! ;-) Wouldn't that be something to see?!? Hehehe
Anyway, that's the only case I've ever heard of of a TH-400 or the like ever used in a boat...

: Does anyone know anything about converting an auto transmission (t-350 chevy) for marine use? Someone told me that the valve body would have to be modified. Is this true? Any thoughts are appreciated.
