I'm a college kid and we bought a 40ft pontoon boat last summer. It had a couple small holes due to dent and rust in the pontoons. Most of the holes were small pin pricks and we fixed them with apoxy and screws. There is on spot that has a gash about 3 inches long and about half an inch wide at its widest point. The pontoons are baffled, but we don't know how long it will take before the baffles are rusted through on the inside. We tried to weld it, but the steel is too thin in this spot. "The Tub" is a great boat complete with a water slide, DJ system, and a bathroom. We want to keep it above water! It stayed up all last summer, but it lost about six inches when we pulled it out. We've heard of filling pontoons with foam, but don't know where to go to do that. We are open to anything for next summer. The cheaper the better. Thanks!
