There are several things that will help:
1. Use parafin or beeswax on the threads. This is mch better than soap as it will not corrode any screws left in place as saop will. My favorite material for this is called "Sno Seal" which is a mix of beeswax and mineral spirits used for waterproofing leather boots up here in the frozen north.
2. Predrill the holes 1-2 number size larger than required (especially for the shank of the screw.
3. Remove screws in the reverse order of assembly and re-apply clamping pressure prior to taking the screws out in the most highly curved sections. As you add pressure by clamping on successive frame members the earlier screws will wedge in the holes due to the pressure applied.
4. When temporarily clamping if the screwdreiver / drill skips even once when instering stop remove the screw and pitch it at that point. The head is already messed up and putting it in further will just make matters worse.
5. When applying temporary screws for clamping with epoxy - try spraying the threads with Boeshield, Top Cote or other dry film lubricant (no silicones!!!) this will act as a release agent.
