I finished my Console Skiff in the spring. I used the Teleflex Safe-T QC rotary system, and it has worked well. I had two installation problems. The first was my fault; I installed my motor (40 h.p. Mercury) before drilling the hole in the side of the motorwell for the cable, and had to "improvise". The other problem I had was that the steering rod at the motor would hit the port motorwell side when fully extended. I had to cut a notch for it to travel into about 3" or so. I believe I've read of others having the same "challenge" to overcome.
