About 15 years ago, I very briefly helped some people build an ocean-going catamaran from --yes-- plywood! The plywood was then encapsulated in something that was fairly new at the time -- West System epoxy.
The plan was to sail the boat around the world. I remember meeting the naval architect who designed the boat -- he had come from England to France to see it. (The boat was being built on the Brittany coast of France.)
So you'd better get to work!
