This was a worry when building my Riviera, but for the opposite reason - low humidity during our cold Wisonsin winters.

I precoated the frames prior to assembly. This slowed down moisture transfer as the only uncoated area was the outer edge where the hull sheathing would be bonded on. The first lamination was also pre-coated on what would be the interior of the hull for the same reason.

Take care to make sure that if the moisture content is changing, it happens evenly on both sides of the wood to avoid warping. Moving not perecly dry wood into the sun can cause significant warping as one side dries with respect to the other.

As a case in point, I was just helping some friends apply trim in thier hose. They had prefinished with a water based finish. The trim pices curved 2-3" in 6' from the moisture added by the finish!
