You should still treat the plywood with epoxy or CPES. "Marine grade" just means there are fewer voids within the plies making it a little denser. I've read and heard enough debate on the value of marine grade plywood to make me doubt whether it's worth the extra money. Once you've treated the plywood, you should paint it as sunlight will break down the epoxy over time. Fiberglassing will add a little more durability and protection.

: I am replacing sections of rotted floor in my bowrider. Does the use of marine grade plywood allow me to skip the fiberglass or epoxy process for sealing the wood? If not, why buy the marine plywood?
