I used to use that or something similar when working on cars - makes the grease wash off easily. Haven't seen it lately, so I just use soap or hand lotion. Put in on heavily and keep rubbing until it mostly dries. Seems to work fine.
I recently started working on restoring an old fiberglass boat, and had my gloved hands covered with epoxy for most of an afternoon. When I took the gloves off, my hands continued to smell like epoxy for about two days and 20 or so washings! I didn't think to use the soap trick before putting the gloves on, that might have helped. But I'm concerned that the gloves may not be protecting me adequately. Should I wear two pair? Any comments from experienced users?
Last comment: I have heard that lanolin is not the best thing for human skin. Eczema sufferers avoid it, but I don't know details. I try to buy hand lotion without it.
