I chose the Tubby Tug as a first boat partly b/c
I thought it would be good as a first-time boat, and I'm happy with the decision so far. Assembly of the hull is pretty straightforward. However, assembly of the cabin, which gives the boat most of its character, definitely requires more in the way of woodworking skills than the stitch and glue hull assembly. If you aren't confident about your woodworking skills, you might want to consider a simpler stitch and glue design for a first project. Good Luck and Have Fun!
: I am planning on building the Tubby Tug this winter. Can someone please let me know if this would be a wise choise for a first time builder. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
