Alex, I'm shopping, too. Don't know much about them, yet, but they are more expensive. A yamaha salesman assures me that the add'l cost will be more than made-up over the life of the motor in reduced fuel consumption and maintenance. They seem to be MUCH quieter. I just like the thought of not having to mix oil at every "fill-up".
I.m looking at a 9.9hp, so same comments may not apply for a large motor. Check out www.yamahausa.com
