I have a Porter Cable 1/4 sheet pat sander and I love it. No dust pick up and due to that it does throw a bit of dust. I have tried the random orbit sanders and found that when you get to an edge the get a little tough to control, not so with the pad(vibrating) sanders. Good luck.
