Dear All at Glen-L,

Please find up to date photographs, of Jack Tar (Mummysue), unfortunately the camera does not reflect how impressive the teak decks look now they are oiled, and coated with six layers of varnish, although I can acquire good quality timber with my work, with a project like this you have to think of saving money where ever possible, just take the forward section, the teak decking, used to be a laboratory bench, plus I had plenty to cover all the decks, the hatch used to be one of a pair of solid mahogany doors, I replaced at a bank, in the City of London. The mast was once a solid teak table I purchased with one leg missing, for one pound. All in all, plus my time, I spent one pound, for my materials, which are of the best quality, which gave me extra money to purchase my Antique, solid brass mushroom vents.

The solid Brass framing to the windows look good.

At the moment I am preparing and machining the side rails, and making the doors to the aft cabin, and galley, to get her sealed up for the winter. Then to install the solid fuel stove-boiler and we should be very comfortable completing the interior.
