Ski boat floor replacement questions

I have an '87 Supra Competition ski boat with a rotting floor, maybe stringer rot as well. Estimates near $5,000.00 to have them both replaced and new carpet.

Questions:
Has anyone done this on this boat?
Know of any good DIY books?
Repair shops in So. Cal?
