Dan, I've not built the 15' overniter, but I am nearing completion of the 17 foot Carioca. I started in march 2002. I am hoping to have it in the water by mid may of 2003. The 15' overniter is a shallower deadrise than the carioca and that will make the hull construction easier. You will still have to build the cabin though. Bud macintosh has stated in his book that you can build a 25' boat in about the same time as a 20' boat. When you are planking with plywood it may be only an extra splice to make the extended length. I work only about three or four hours a day. I average 15 hours a week.
