You've just spent a large amout of hours, and a good chunk of money on building your boat. Why would you cheap out and paint it with a latex house paint?? spend the extra money and paint it properly!! Protect your investment!! a few hundred bucks now is alot cheaper that rebuilding the boat later.
Interlux brightside polyurathane works great and i've never had any issues with it.
