We have an old 40ft pontoon boat that has a large gash in the bottom of the pontoon. It's pretty rusty around the gash and was pretty close to impossible to weld a small patch because of the different thicknesses of the steel. We were wondering if some foam would work or if we should just weld a giant "sheath" around the bottom of the pontoon.
Any and all suggestions will help!
