In the "inboard days", they used to install 2 hefty lift rings, bolted on V-8's block. And a 3rd line for lifting, would go up near bow area. For a V-8 inboard - 90% of the weight is probably back near that engine.

: Many marinas around here have lifts to launch customers boats. I like the idea, it keeps the trailer out of salt water. I am on Double Eagle project as a center console fisherman. I wonder how much engineering is involved in lift eyes? Anybody been there or done that?
