20 years ago, I built Glen L's ROUSTABOUT, and had their frame kit. I registered the boat in NY State - and they assigned "Hull ID #" for it. At the time, I told them it was a kit boat, and plans. They seemed happy with that. Some years later I lost the HULL ID #, and never did etch it into the boat's transom.
