: Hi All....

: What can you recommend for an engine/transmission combo for a Ski King? I was thinking about a 2.0 or 3.1 liter Chevy. I have no clue what kind of transmission setup to use. Can someone post a link to transmissions? I am trying to an estimate of the cost so I can get started.
I dont have SkiKing in my catalog, but I can help you with 4 banger Chevy inboards. I am building a Double Eagle with a 3.0 Chevy on a BorgWarner reduction gear. I am going with 2:1 reduction ratio but on a little boat like a ski boat you would use direct drive 1:1. A 350 chevy V8 bellhousing will mate up to the 3.0L, so just get a standard chevy BorgWarner housing. Get a 71c tranny 1:1. I did fabricate my own front engine mounts, they are hard to find for the 4 banger. I weighed my power package and it came to 700lbs. My reduction gear is 50lbs that you wont have, and my exhaust manifold is a cheap bargain basement cast hunk that could save another 50lbs by spending better money. It is advertised at 140hp at 4200-4600rpm.
: Thanks,
: Mike
