S-glass, and E-glass are typically known as "boat glass" you won't go wrong with either of these. I suggest you stick with the cloth, and stay away from mat. Cloth offers "strength and stiffness" whereas mat will stiffen up your epoxy but offers little strength. Try >uscomposites.com< for fiberglass - if you find any cheaper for the same grade of "E or S glass" cloth - please let me know.
