: Hi Kurt,

: It's called Beyers Lumber:
: 8684 Olive Blvd.
: St. Louis, MO 63132
: (314) 993-2445
: (800) 229-9662
: Mon - Fri 7:30 - 5:00
: Saturday - 8am - 5pm

: They have a good web site at www.beyerslumber.com. They do stock marine plywood in addition to the ACX but they only carry marine in 1/2" and 3/4". The quality of the ACX was fine for the Console Skiff in my opinion, but I too am thinking about building a Quest in the future and I might just bite the bullet and use marine ply. The voids in the exterior grade plywoods can be a pain to deal with. Of course if the marine ply is three times the cost, then...?

:
: : A side question: Do you recall the name of the lumber company in St. Louis who supplied your wood? I live in West-Central Illinois (about 3 hours from St. Louis), and have had a great deal of difficulty finding a lumber supplier who can/will get what I need within reasonable driving distance. A Console Skiff and the beginnings of a Gypsy have required buying wood from long-distance with the associated costs and hassles. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

: : Kurt Ayres
: : Avon, Illinois
