Never done it, but I don't think it's TOO hard a job. Transoms are normally 1.5" of plywood across the entire width. You can run knees to the engine stringers. If the fiberglass transom skin is curved and you want to keep it, then you have to make a curved transom to fit, by laying up pieces of 3/8" ply into a form. Or you could just abandon the curved skin and fit a flat transom in its place. Sometimes the aft portion of the deck gets in the way of the work and you might have to remove the ENTIRE topside. On some models it's easy - just remove the rubber rubrail insert and drill out all the rivets. On other models, it's not so easy.
