They are using plywood. I do think it is a little thinner in most cases. From what I have learned on here it is the BIAXEL cloth that gives it more strength. I know that either has advantages, I was looking in the 18-20 foot range and the other guys have stitch and glue boats in this range. I hope to build a boat in this size range after the Tubby Tug. It will probably be a Glen-L Mist Miss but I have been looking around and the cost of the fiberglass kit at the other site confused me. I did not spend a lot of time researching it myself, I just threw my questions to you guys.
